Track Safety Features
Each kart receives a daily maintnance to ensure it is operating correctly. Minimum once weekly ALL karts receive a full 40 point inspection.
All drivers register prior to racing at Speedworld allowing Speedworld to monitor behaviors and ban drivers who exhibit behaviors that may be dangerous to others.
Each racer receives instruction on how to safely get into and out of the karts as well as how to safely operate them.
Each racer is provided with a full faced helmet to reduce the chance of head injury (optional safety glasses also available).
Neck guards are available for drivers (optional).
Each kart is fitted with a full safety barrier system and guards to cover the chain, axle and transmission.
Each kart has a heat shield to cover the exhaust components to reduce the chance of burns.
NEW! The back of each seat is covered with a highly insulating and reflective fire wall material to keep seats from reaching high temperatures.
Each race kart is fitted with a centrally mounted fuel tank to lower the centre of gravity and eliminate the chance of fuel coming into contact with hot engine parts.
Each kart is fitted with hydraulic disk brakes to ensure safe stopping every time.
Engineers designed and installed a sophisticated 3-stage ventilation system that ensures a constant flow of clean air throughout the 27,500 sq. ft facility.
Three air quality sensors are located thoughout the track, all programmed to sound an audible alarm should levels of gases exceed safe levels. Speedworld has been monitored and meets or exceeds MB workplace health and safety standards for exposure.
Each kart uses premium gasoline in combination with added ethanol & methanol to ensure cleaner burning.
All karts are equipped with a NETT catalytic convertor on the exhaust to reduce emissions by over 80%.
The track is surrounded with a tire barrier designed to reduce the effect should there be an impact.
Sound insulated wall to ensure drivers waiting for their races can do so in a safe, clean and quiet environment.
